We don’t know any better way to break down this news, but the news is hip-hop femcee Pryse has parted ways with her erstwhile record label chocolate city. This week there has been loads of controversies concerning Chocolate City Music.
There have been back and forth legal battle between the music imprint and former artiste Brymo. From media interviews as granted by Brymo, reveals he was neglected and poorly treated by his former label Chocolate City.
Now we are greeted with news about the departure of female rapper Pryse. The news came in via tweets from the Chocolate City twitter handle. Tweets also mentioned that the Pryse will go ahead to start her own record label I.C.O.N Music Group. She has been absolved from any outstanding contracts with the label.
It’s interesting to note also that this year another rapper Milli quit the label too. Obviously, since Pryse signed with the label her discography has been very lean. We can’t exactly tell what the problem is with Chocolate City. But from us here we wish Pryse well on her new endeavor.
